Speech & Language Therapist, Bournemouth

£23,301 per annum

 52 weeks per year, 3 days per week (8:30am to 5:00pm Tuesday-Thursday)

We are looking for the very best Speech & Language Therapist living close to the Bournemouth area of Dorset. This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist provider of education and care for children and young people aged 16-25 with special educational needs and disabilities including Asperger’s Syndrome, Autism and other conditions.

We’re looking for someone to support our client’s amazing young people grow and flourish. Be part of a specialist school, set up to be a haven for these young people. This organisation was founded by a CEO who is a passionate advocate for children & young adults with learning difficulties. What would the role involve?

As their Speech & Language Therapist, you will manage a caseload of young people with complex needs within a beautiful setting. You will champion the promotion of a total communication environment across the service providing the highest standard of therapy.  You will lead in the assessment of the young people and recommend and deliver the best course of intervention and specialised programmes of care for each young person.

What qualifications & experience are required?

  • You will have a Registered membership of RCSLT and HCPC;
  • You will have a professional Speech & Language Therapy degree or equivalent;
  • You will also have previous experience of working in a similar role;
  • It is also desirable that you have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
