Speech & Language Therapist, Bedford

£30,000 - £35,000 per annum DOE

We are looking for the very best Speech & Language Therapist living close to the Bedford area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a passionate clinical team, supporting adults with Autism, Learning Disabilities and Mental Health Conditions.

Our client provides a rehabilitation service to provide support to those progressing onwards from a secure service or who require a step up into enhanced care. They work to actively support individuals to step down into residential services or supported living and their inspiration is to move mountains to help the people they support live fulfilling lives. Your job within this organisation will truly make a difference. There should be no barriers stopping the individuals you support from achieving their potential.

As a Speech & Language Therapist you will support other members of staff in building on their specialist communication skills, whilst also providing Total Communication training and mentoring to the companies’ teams. You will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and other external agencies in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for all supported individuals.

Pay rates, hours and benefits:

  • 37.5 hours per week;

What skills and experience are required?

  • You will hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle;
  • You will be registered with the HCPC and hold a relevant qualification;
  • You will be passionate about caring for people with Mental Health conditions, Learning Disabilities and Autism and you will understand the importance of maintaining a safe environment.

Above all, you will have excellent communication skills, you will be patient, caring and empathetic. You will also have a desire to improve the lives of the people you support and exceed expectations at all times.
