Location

Based within a School Rated Good with Ofsted, the School is located 21 Minutes / 8.5 miles from Horsham via the A264 or Worthing which is 31 Minutes / 16.4 miles via the A24.  The village lies in the Horsham district of West Sussex along the A29 which crosses with the A272, it is 6 miles south-west of Horsham and 5.5 miles north east of Pulborough.

Your Employer / The School

You would be joining a unique provider, who set their standards very high indeed.  Specialising in providing personalised Care & Education to children and Adults with a range of physical, learning, neurological, sensory, complex health needs and cerebral palsy.  The heart of everything they do is to ensure lives are lived as independently as possible with all the help and support needed for an individual’s wellbeing.

The School itself offers boarding for up to 58 pupils and students age 4-18 years of age.  The Children have a range of motor impairments such as cerebral palsy.    

Your Role

As their Speech & Language Therapist you will lead on service development initiatives and evidence-based practice around dysphagia management. You will clinically support other speech and language colleagues at the school, lead on training specific eating and drinking needs and work towards engraining practice amongst all school team members.

  • IDDSI Framework minimum level C RCSLT Dysphagia Competency Framework
  • Knowledge of supporting people with Total communication approach.
  • Supporting the use of AAC
  • Qualified Speech & Language Therapist with a HCPC registration
