Support Worker, Tunbridge Wells

£8.50 - £10.50 per hour

Various bank hours available

We are looking for enthusiastic Support Workers living close to the Royal Tunbridge Wells area of Kent to support a lady living with an Acquired Brain Injury in her own home.

Change a life

This will be more than a job. This is an amazing role where you will make a positive difference in the life of this lady. The lady is very creative and always tries to create a fun atmosphere around her with plenty of banter and laughter. She enjoys watching movies, looking after her pets and socialising with her friends. Her brain injury means she has an impaired memory and suffers from anxiety, fatigue, irritability and some physical issues.

As her Support Worker, you will play a key role in helping her to socialise with friends, attend appointments and her daily life skills. You will help her be independent in day to day life, support her towards planned goals and to live life to the full. You will also be key in maintaining a safe environment, maximising physical and mental well-being at all times when in her own home.

What qualifications & experience are required to be a Support Worker?

  • Experience in a similar role would be an advantage, however personality and sensitivity to the client’s needs are equally important;
  • A full, clean driving licence and successful enhanced DBS disclosure are essential.
  • Above all, you will have a positive personality and a passion for making a difference.

This is a truly rewarding role where you can make a positive impact in a person’s life and to also work for an organisation with a genuine desire to make a difference in their clients’ lives. We understand the value of a positive working rapport with both our clients and their families, so we always adopt a supportive team approach to care. There are also excellent personal development opportunities within this role.
