The Provider

You could be joining an established provider of Adult Supported Living services who support adults living with Learning/Physical Disabilities and Mental Health conditions to live independently in their own communities and lead fulfilled lives. There is a welcoming and family feel to the team, and you could be part of it.  Supporting someone is very different to caring for someone, you will help an individual achieve small or significant goals everyday, seeing them develop and gain in confidence is amazing!

Could you support an adult like *Peter?

Hello, my name is Peter and I live in my own home. I have Autism so some things are difficult for me, but I have a Support Worker called Steve who helps me understand things and do all the things I enjoy. Steve will help me in the morning, he always knows how I like my cup of tea, and he’ll help me choose what I want for breakfast. He will then also help me decide what jobs need doing in my flat. Without him I would forget to take my medication. I also wouldn’t be able to go to the ODEON cinema to watch films or to the Belgrade Theatre, which I love to do. Steve helps me know how much money I need to take with me so I can watch the film and get some popcorn. Crowds can make me nervous so Steve will walk with me to the cinema, talks to me and explains things in a clearer way, so I can understand and feel safe.  Steve is a good friend and really helps me every day.”

Once you have applied, we would carry out an initial pre-screen of your application, your CV & application is then passed to the end employer who would then contact you directly to progress your application further. This would usually be within 24-72 hours of applying and this telephone conversation is for you to ask any questions you may have and the end employer to find out more about you.
