We are looking for part-time male Support Workers close to the Howden area of East Riding to support a gentleman living in his own home with an Acquired Brain Injury. The role is based in the Goole area and is a 12-minute commute (4.6 miles) via the A63.
- £11.00 – £12.00 per hour
- Full or Part-time hours available.

As this gentleman’s Support Worker, you will play a key role in implementing therapy exercises and maximising his rehabilitation. You will assist him with personal care, washing, dressing, assisting him episodes of challenging behaviour, driving him to physio appointments and to social activities that he enjoys. He has a keen interest in sport and enjoys going fishing and to the local shopping centre. You will work closely with the Case Manager to understand the client’s challenging behaviours and the best practice to manage these behaviours.
Sound good? What experience is required?
- It is desirable that you hold NVQ level 2 or 3 Health & Social Care or any other relevant professional qualification.
- Experience and knowledge of Brain Injuries is also desirable.
- It is essential that you hold a full UK driving licence.
- Above all, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, you will have a good sense of humour, a patient nature and you will be passionate about the difference you can make in a person’s life.
