Support Worker, Ashford

£8.72 - £9.00 per hour

Full-time hours, 30 hours per week, shifts may include 7.45AM – 2:45PM, 2:30PM – 9:30PM, 9:30PM – 7:30AM including waking nights

We are looking for caring and dedicated Support Workers living close to the Ashford area of Kent. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded social care provider who provide specialist care to children, young people and adults with learning disabilities, autistic spectrum disorder, challenging behaviours, or mental health problems.

There are fantastic opportunities to learn and progress in this role. It can be challenging, but the rewards of seeing an individual overcome hurdles in their life or seeing them progress and achieve their goals is something else!

As their Support Worker, you will be part of a residential care home for up to 13 residents. The home is very welcoming and boasts a homely and very fun feel to it. There is a fantastic vibe at the home and all the team are positive and upbeat. Their home is set on magnificent grounds and there are lots of fun activities for residents to enjoy including enjoy arts and crafts, football, music and discos, as well as exciting days out.

What skills & experience are required?

  • Experience of working in a similar position or of working with people with learning disabilities is desirable, but not essential;
  • It is preferred that you have a full driving licence;
  • Above all, you will be a vibrant, enthusiastic character who shares their values and wants to make a difference to a vulnerable person’s future.
