Health and Social Care Jobs have full time, permanent job vacancies for Full Time and Part Time Children’s Support Workers based near the Fowlmere area of Cambridge, Cambridgeshire.  No experience required as full training is provided, however flexibility for shifts and UK driving licence required.  This job vacancy is located 15 miles / 31 minute drive via A10 from Cambridge.

 

Hours, Rates & Benefits

  • £8.95 - £10.00 per hour
  • Average of 40 hours per week
  • 4 week rota pattern including earlies, lates & weekends

The Service & Your Role

You will join a team of dedicated Children’s Support Workers, supporting children aged 9 – 18 years with a variety of complex needs.  The service provides residential support and day care services, with a school on site for the children and young people to attend.  You will provide high levels of care during all aspects of the day, whether it be supporting in school, assisting with therapy sessions, or promoting general enjoyment of everyday activities.  You will build strong relationships with children and young people, ensuring they feel safe and get the most out of each day.  This is an amazing opportunity for you to build a career in children’s services, and truly make a difference to people’s lives!

 

Essential Criteria

  • UK Driving Licence & access to your own vehicle
  • Age 18 years or over*
  • Passion to help people from a variety of backgrounds
  • Exceptional communication skills and patience
  • Flexibility to take part in a variety of shifts including earlies, lates & weekends
