Who will you be supporting?

You would be supporting a fantastic 15-year old girl who is living with a Brain Injury. This is a role where you will make a positive difference in the life of this young lady. You will be a role model and help her be more independent, build her confidence and self-esteem, but also continue to do the things she loves. The young lady is kind and always smiling but can suffer from fatigue and anxiety especially when leaving the house alone.

As her Support Worker/Buddy, you will help her confidence grow and help her with social interaction and safety awareness. You will work towards planned goals, manage risk and liaise with her family and other professionals. You will also help plan age specific activities both inside and outside her home, playing a pivotal role in helping her build a positive future.

Who will you be working for?

Our client has a strong ethos of family friendly support to individuals living with Acquired Brain Injuries. Their support reflects the uniqueness of the individual and they provide bespoke, person-centred care to give people and their families the best quality of life possible.  This is a truly rewarding role where you can make a positive impact in a young person’s life and to also work for an organisation with a genuine passion to make a difference in their clients’ lives.

What are the requirements?

  • You will have an understanding, encouraging and enthusiastic nature.
  • You will have experience in a Psychology background or within a similar role.
  • You will have an interest in working with an individual with a Brain Injury and cognitive, social and developmental difficulties.
