We are looking for a Support Worker (Young Adults) close to the Wimborne area of Dorset. This job is commutable from Wimborne (25 mins), Salisbury (26 mins), Bournemouth (32 mins), Poole (34 mins), Ringwood (20 mins), Alderholt (9 mins) and surrounding areas.

Be part of a specialist school, set up to be a haven for these young people aged 16-25 with complex anxiety or mental health needs. The school was founded by a CEO who is a passionate advocate for children & young adults with learning difficulties. When he set up his company, he founded it saying “Things can be done better. What does a Support Worker do?
A Support Worker is both helper and companion to the young adults they support. In the morning you will help them get dressed, encourage them to get washed, and make sure they eat their breakfast. You may support them in academic and vocational learning, as well as during work related learning. Afterschool or on weekend shifts you’d encourage them to participate in activities and hobbies and help them find what they are passionate about, so they can grow up into the person they want to be.
- £8.41 per hour without qualifications;
- £8.69 - £9.05 per hour (Qualified - NVQ Level 2/3 – Health & Social Care);
- Full time hours, 42 hours per week;
- 42 weeks per year – 4 shifts on/ 4 shifts off rota pattern;
- Shifts 8am – 8pm;

What experience do I need to be a young adult Support Worker?
It is an advantage if you have experience working/living with young adults or have personal experience of working with people with learning disabilities. You will ideally hold an NVQ level 3 as mentioned above. However, full training is provided so not essential.
