We are looking to recruit an Adult Team Leader/Assistant Service Manager for a 2 Bed Residential Home for Adults with Learning Disabilities living in the Kent Area.
This is very small residential /assisted living service located in the Margate area of Kent, Margate is a lovely seaside town close to Thanet, Kent, 15 miles (24.1 km) north-east of Canterbury, which includes Cliftonville, Garlinge, Palm Bay and Westbrook., it could also be commutable from Dover 37 Mins, Herne Bay 23 Mins .

This service supports two individuals who have profound learning disabilities and complex needs. This includes Autism and mild behaviours that challenge. One of people you would support is in a wheelchair and both do require a high level of personal care and support.
The Team Leader job Description
As the Team Leader, your job will be to assist the Service Manager with the day to day running of the home. Your role will be to support the adults within the home as well as leading and motivating the staff team. You will also be expected to attend appointments with the people we support, attend care reviews, review and update care plans and risk assessments, record and monitor daily logs, lead shifts, administer medication, and cover the rota where necessary.

Skills and expertise:
- Have experience of providing support to people with learning disabilities and varying support needs
- Have experience of Supervising or Managing a Staff Team
- Minimum of 2 years of sector experience
- IT literate
- Ability to manage own time and able to work under pressure
- Good communication skills
- Level 3 Health and Social Care
