We are looking for a Young Adult Support Worker close to the Stevenage area of Hertfordshire. Every person deserves to be encouraged to be the best they can be and have the best chance in life! This job is commutable from the Stevenage (26mins), Hitchin (24 mins), Baldock (15mins) and surrounding areas of Hertfordshire. It is accessible via the A1 and A505 transport links.

The organisation was founded by a CEO who is a passionate advocate for children & young adults with learning difficulties. When he set up his company, he founded it saying “Things can be done better. We can make a difference.”

What does a Support Worker do?

A Support Worker you will be helping young adults with severe and profound learning and physical disabilities to have the best quality of life. In the morning you will help them get dressed, encourage them to get washed, and assist with their breakfast. You’d encourage them to participate in activities and hobbies and help them find what they are passionate about, so they can achieve all their goals. The adults are always getting involved in activities such as Forestry scheme, Enterprise scheme and even rock climbing!

  • £8.75 - £9.70 per hour DOE.
  • Full time hours, 39 hours per week (part-time and flexible hours also available).
  • Day or Night shifts available.
  • Days – 7:30am – 9pm, some shifts 6 hours, some 12 and a half, 4-week rota of 14 shifts.
  • Nights - 8.45pm-8:15am, 4-week rota.
  • Additional £2,730 per annum on top of salary for doing nights.
