Part & Full-Time, Community Care & Dementia Friend job vacancy, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire – No Experience Needed – We offer Award Winning Training – however you do need to BE A CAR DRIVER with your own car.

There is nothing more rewarding than caring for others and brightening someone’s day. After all, seeing someone smile and making their lives that bit easier feels great, sometimes by doing the simplest of things. Our clients live in their own homes, you will be helping them remain at home, safely for as long as possible.

Key Information

  • £10.75 - £13.00 per hour, plus mileage (Double pay on bank holidays).
  • You must be a car driver with access to a vehicle.
  • Alternate weekend working; however, this may only be a couple of hours.
  • Flexible hours available between 7am – 9pm (you will need consistent availability across the week).
  • Award Winning Training
  • Mileage allowance 30p – 45p.
  • We welcome applications from all age groups (no upper limit).

Who will I support?

You will be carefully matched and introduced to the person you will be supporting, and you will share a great relationship together.  Your visits will never be rushed, they are never less than an hour, meaning you spend quality time with the person we match you with. 

Because you get to know one another well, the care that you would provide is never awkward, just natural.  Some people worry about personal care, but people also have the wrong idea what personal care means – if this is something you are unsure about, feel free to call and discuss further.

As a Community Care & Dementia Friend, the Care are & Support of an individual will vary greatly, after all everyone is unique.  Our clients’ needs range from being very independent to some that need much more care and support on a daily basis.  You could -

  • Arrive with a smile for an early morning call.
  • Prepare breakfast and assist someone with their morning routine whilst chatting away.
  • Assisting with routines, including toilet prompts, helping with washing, and dressing.
  • Prompt to take medication.
  • Preparing lunch together, taking care of their nutrition is important.
  • Maybe enjoy a walk together, taking in some fresh air.
  • Going on outings, hospital visits or visiting the shops.
  • End of the day companionship, hot drink, and chat before bedtime.
