Job description

We are looking for caring and dedicated Adult Support Workers living close to the Huntingdon area of Cambridgeshire.  This job vacancy is situated directly between Huntingdon and Cambridge Centre just off the A14 or A10.  This is a full-time job vacancy – previous experience of working in a Social Care job is essential.

The Service

You would be working in a unique service which is a fun and the residents offer lots of personality.  Set in a stunning rural location, wellington boots are a must and if you like animals you are in for a treat!  They are lucky enough to have rabbits, sheep, geese, ducks, and dogs. The service supports 9 men aged between 47 & 62 years old who have a learning or physical disability, autism, epilepsy, and some challenging behaviour.  They are all incredible active and enjoy taking care of the animals, gardening, going for picnics, fruit picking, kite flying, arts/crafts, computer studies and lots of cooking.  They enjoy visiting the local tea rooms, have many a trip into the village and using the local facilities.

You are there to provide practical, emotional care and support as well as enabling them to live an active fulfilled life, one where they can achieve their own personal goals.

Key Information

  • £9.70 per hour, 20 Days Holiday Plus Bank Holidays.
  • Full Time, 35 Hours per week
  • Working various working hours and shifts available to suit your circumstances.
  • Free training to achieve further qualifications in Social Care.
  • Career progression opportunities.
  • Paid DBS
  • Previous experience within a Social Care position is essential.
