Job Description

We are recruiting for a full-time Physiotherapist close to Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, to join a specialist service supporting young adults who have severe, profound, and multiple learning difficulties and complex needs.

This job is located approximately a 25-minute commute from Cambridge via the A10. The role may also be suitable for candidates living in the Royston, Stevenage, Letchworth Garden City areas of Hertfordshire.

  • £26,540 - £32,040 per annum DOE.
  • Full-time, 40-hours per week (term-time only).

The Provider

We are recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s biggest providers of residential care, supported living accommodation, education and support for young adults and children living with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Learning Disabilities. They have an impressive network of schools, colleges, and residential homes where they use their specialist facilities to focus on promoting independence amongst the young adults they support, developing life skills to help them achieve a bright future of their own choosing.

Your Role

As their Physiotherapist, you will provide specialist assessment and treatment to the young people. You will work in collaboration with each young person, health services, and other sections of the multi-disciplinary team to enhance and optimise each person’s quality of life. You will be part of a team who share a common goal to empower the young people so they can achieve their goals and a positive future. Criteria

  • A recognised degree in Physiotherapy (MSc, or BSc in Physiotherapy, with a Learning Disability placement).
  • Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration.
  • Previous experience in a Physiotherapy role, preferably with adults in neurorehabilitation and/or a Learning Disability.
  • Experience of delivering Hydrotherapy & Rebound Therapy.
  • Experience of working collaboratively as part of a team.
