Job description

We are looking for Children’s Residential Support Worker / Practitioners for the Crewe area of Cheshire. 

Key Information

  • Salary total £21’700 per annum
  • £17’500 Basic plus Sleep in’s (£4’200 per annum / £35 per sleep in/ 10 per month)
  • 2 on 4 off shift pattern 8am till 11pm, Sleep in.
  • Children Aged 8-18 years of Age with Emotional Behavioral Difficulties (EBD).
  • Car Driver Preferred.

The Provider

We are a relatively small provider with just five homes which all range from 2 Beds to 8 and we are rated Good with Ofsted.  As a Children’s Residential Provider, the Children we support are everything to us, but so are you!  We are very dedicated to promoting the rights of our young people as individuals, and to provide them with quality care and support in a homely environment. As an employer we also appreciate the support you need in your role, and this is key within our sector.  We will invest heavily in you as an employee, and we have a fantastic internal recruitment, supervision, and appraisal process to ensure you are fully supported in your role.  Our job is to ensure our young people flourish and that also starts with a happy team!  

Your Role

As one of our Residential Support Workers, you are key to the successful outcomes we ultimately look to achieve for the children we support.

  • Support young people/promote their rights as individuals/provide them with quality care.
  • Encourage the Children to take part in activities, hobbies, and interests.
  • To promote, always safeguard and protect the children & young people.
  • To provide firm and consistent boundaries to ensure appropriate behavior.
  • Encourage & promote a healthy lifestyle and positive choices.
  • To help with chores around the home including meal preparation.
  • Take part in any training and development opportunities to help you with your job.
