Job description

Full-time, permanent, Waking Night Residential Support Worker, Chester, Cheshire.

The service is based close to the centre of Chester and is close to public transport routes. The school is a 5-minute walk from the Chester Bus Interchange and a 15-minute walk from the train station.

  • £21,350 - £25,000 per annum DOE.
  • Full-time hours, 40-hours per week.
  • Shifts are 4 on, 4 off pattern.
  • Must hold NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or Children and Young Peoples Workforce.

You must have experience of working within a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school, or residential childcare service. What is also important is being enthusiastic, proactive, and having a passion for working within the sector.

Your Role

As a Waking Night Residential Support Worker, you will join a highly skilled team to maintain supervision for the children during the night, providing a calm and relaxing environment. Some children have 1:1 support during the night to help them maintain a good sleep routine. You will help support the needs of the children/young people during the night, creating a safe and nurturing environment. Don’t worry if you have any questions, we will be more than happy to talk you through the role.

Their day and residential school are for up to 30 Children and young adults aged between 4 – 19 living with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and challenging behaviours. Set within a newly refurbished, historic setting, they have created the perfect for environment for the children and young people to achieve their aspirations and reach their full potential.
