Female Rehabilitation Support Worker, permanent job vacancy, close to Darlington, County Durham.
We are looking for a Support Worker to support a young female living with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). This job is based approximately 25-minutes away from Darlington via the A67 and is the same distance from Bishop Auckland.
You would be supporting a 17-year-old female living with a cognitive brain injury helping her with her daily life skills and continue to do the things she loves. This young lady attends college Monday to Friday with a Teaching Assisting where she is studying Health & Social Care and your role would be key in supporting her outside of college. She has a wonderful personality and is very much a girly girl, and you would be key in helping with daily living tasks, accessing the community, form positive relationships and with her hobbies. She loves boxing, keeping fit, watching soaps on the TV, and learning about Rhinos. This will be more than a job. This is an amazing role where you will make a positive difference in this young girl’s life.
We are looking for someone who can be a positive role model for this girl, but also be like a friend to her. If you have 2-years’ experience working with people with Brain Injuries, Autism and Disabilities as a Support Worker, then we would love to speak to you.
