Support Worker (no personal care)

£11.00 per hour

Job Description

Part-time, Support Worker job vacancy, Carlisle, Cumbria – car drivers essential.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to support a gentleman living in his own home with Cerebral Palsy and severe Learning Disabilities resulting from a Brain Injury. If you have a passion for helping people and you want to make a difference in a person’s life, then this could be the perfect role for you.

  • £11.00 per hour.
  • Part-time hours available, up to 16-hours per week.
  • Shifts will be between 9am - 9:30pm but can be split between combination of 12-hour, 6-hour, 4-hour shifts.
  • Day-time hours only.

This gentleman has a wonderful personality and sense of humour, and all the team absolutely love him. He has no challenging behaviours and no personal care needs and is very independent. He just needs people to enable him to continue doing what he loves and living life to the full. There are lots of activities that he enjoys including watching football, walking his Mum’s dogs, swimming, and going to the gym.

  • Experience of working with adults with Brain Injuries & Disabilities - preferred.

    Due to continued growth we are looking for a Recruitment Administrator to join our growing team.  This job vacancy would suit someone who has experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, Supervisor or Care Manager in either Children's, Adult's Learning Disabilities, Homecare or Elderly Care Homes, but also had Administration experience.   You could be joining a bespoke Recruitment Solutions company specialising in the Health & Social Care Sector.

    • £20- £24K per annum, DOE 
    • Full-time, Monday – Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm - Part-Time Hours considered over 5 days.

     What would this job involve?

    • Writing compeling online job Adverts to a high standard– being creative and knowing the customer and what they are looking for;
    • Launching the job vacancy on all the major online job boards with accuracy and an eye for detail;
    • Monitoring the adverts and checking performance.
    • Speaking to candidates calling for more information about the vacancies;
    • Using our in-house database as well as Excel, Word and Outlook.
    • Designing Social Media posts for new vacancies.
    • Building our CV Database by adding relevant CV's

    What experience is required?

    • Previous Admin experience is essential in a busy office environment.
    • Excellent confident telephone manner and previous experience of working in an office
    • The willingness to adapt and learn
    • Must have an excellent telephone manner and confidence in speaking on the phone;
    • An eye for detail and accuracy are essential;
    • Excellent customer service and organisational skills;
    • Computer literate particularly in Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Support Worker, Care Supervisor / Manager - Looking for a change
    £22-26K per annum DOE, Plus Bonus

  • Adult Support Worker

    We are seeking Full Time and Part-Time, Adult Support Workers close to Chester to support adults in a Supported Living setting. No experience required as excellent training & support provided. Driving licence essential.

    This job is based in the Connah’s Quay & Buckley areas of Flintshire and is approximately a 20-minute commute from the centre of Chester via the A540 and A548.

    • £9.60 - £10.65 per hour DOE including sleep-ins & waking nights.
    • Full and part-time hours available – 16 – 35 plus hours available.
    • Hours include combination of earlies, afternoons, lates, sleep-ins, and weekends.
    • Guaranteed 1 weekend off in 3.
    • You must hold a valid UK Drivers Licence (manual).
