We have a full time, permanent job vacancy for a Registered Children’s Home Manager in the Carlisle are of Cumbria. 

Hours, Rates & Benefits

  • A Basic Salary of £41K per annum with bonuses this increases to £49K
  • Mon-Fri 09:00-17:00

The Home & Your Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced children’s home manager / deputy manager to take on the adventure of helping this brand-new home open & thrive.  You will be registered manager of a residential home, for children and young people aged 8 – 17 years who require crisis intervention.  After a period of stability there will be a further 3 outreach properties opening under the same registration, allowing you to take charge of the development and management of homes to 5 children and young people.

Essential Criteria

  • Level 5 Leadership and Management (or equivalent)
  • Experience of managing a Children's Residential service
  • Experience working with young people with emotional and/or behavioural difficulties
  • Excellent knowledge of National Care and Quality Standards
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Childrens Residential Team Leader

We are recruiting for a Children’s Residential Team Leader close to the Kendal area of Cumbria on behalf of an inspirational children’s provider in the local area. This is a permanent job vacancy.

This job would suit any candidate living close to Kendal. Just off the A6 and A591 the role is easily accessible from Ulverston, Granger-over-Sands, Milnthorpe, Barrow-In-Furness, Dalton in Furness, Newby Bridge, or surrounding areas.

  • £23,953 - £25,419 per annum DOE + benefits.
  • £3120 per annum for sleeps - 1 x sleep per week.
  • Full-time hours (rota will be discussed in interview).

The Children’s Home

This a unique opportunity to work for a children’s home as a Residential Support Worker and help turn around the lives of children who have suffered abuse, neglect, sexual abuse, or extreme trauma in a therapeutic manner. This Residential Home is home to 12 children, rated Good by OFSTED, all the children are under the age of 12 and will need support for usually up to 2/2.5 years until they are ready to move back with their families or foster parents.

Our client has over 20 years-experience and an exceptional proven track record in providing therapeutic residential care and allowing the children to grow emotionally and socially. They provide excellent education on site to help them with everyday life skills. They also organise fun activities such as trips out and sports to help them integrate in the community and keep them smiling. Criteria

As the Children’s Residential Team Leader, you must have:

  • Level 3 Children’s Residential Childcare.
  • Experience of working in a Children’s residential setting.
