Children’s Residential Support Worker, permanent job vacancy, Kendal, Cumbria.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Children’s Residential Support Worker who is happy to commute to Kendal. Just off the A6 and A591 the role is easily accessible from Ulverston, Granger-over-Sands, Milnthorpe, Barrow-In-Furness, Dalton in Furness, Newby Bridge, or surrounding areas.

  • £19,700 - £22,000 per annum, plus sleep-ins at £65.
  • Full-time hours, days, and nights available.
  • Days – 3-day rota, 7:30m – 10pm & 10am – 10pm.
  • Nights - 4 on and 4 off shift patterns, 10pm – 7:30am.
  • Must have previous experience of working with Children in a Residential Care Setting.
  • Ideally Hold Level 3 Children & Young People / Children’s Residential Care/Workforce or be willing to work towards.
  • Car Driver essential.

The Children’s Home

This a unique opportunity to work for a children’s home as a Residential Support Worker and help turn around the lives of children who have suffered abuse, neglect, sexual abuse, or extreme trauma in a therapeutic manner. This Residential Home is home to ten children, rated Good by OFSTED, all the children are under the age of 12 and will need support for usually up to 2/2.5 years until they are ready to move back with their families or foster parents.
