Front of House

£10.00 - £12.50 per hour DOE + Bonus
 

Job Description

Full-time, Front of House job vacancy, close to Grange-over-Sands, Cumbria – previous experience preferred, but not essential.

We are looking for a Waiter/Waitress to join our fantastic Front of House team. We are approximately a 2.5-mile commute from Grange and can be reached via the number 532 bus service and a short walk. The role may also suit someone living in Ulverston, Barrow, Cark, or nearby surrounding areas, if you are able to travel to work.

  • £10.00 per hour starting rate, up to £12.50 per hour DOE.
  • 40-hours per week, 5 days over 7.
  • Lots of overtime opportunities if you want it.

About Us

We are a very bespoke 450-year-old Coaching Inn in the Heart of Cartmel. Providing excellent, locally sourced British food, traditional beers, wines, and ales. Indulging our guests with a charming retreat for them to enjoy the delights of the nearby Lake District or stay for a weekend to visit the races. All our rooms have been restored to an exceptionally high standard and maintain much of their original character.

The Role

As part of our Front of House team, your job will be varied, but you will be working in a fast-paced and enjoyable setting. You will be a friendly face to our customers and offer the highest standard of customer service. The role may also include:

  • Taking telephone bookings for accommodation and restaurant bookings.
  • Welcoming guests and showing them to their accommodation.
  • Settling of any outstanding bills.
  • Delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Waiting on tables and taking customers’ orders.
  • Making & Serving drinks for customers from the bar area.

About You

Previous experience is preferred but not essential. This position is all about your personality. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, polite, professional, and easy to engage with. If this is you and you have excellent customer service and people skills, we would love to speak to you.

    • Experience of working with adults with Brain Injuries & Disabilities - preferred.
    • It is essential that you hold a full UK driving licence.
    • Above all, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, you will have a good sense of humour, a patient nature and you will be passionate about the difference you can make in a person’s life.
