Children's Residential Support Worker

Job description

We are recruiting for a Children’s Residential Support Worker to join a newly opening small Children’s Home for children living with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Location: Derby, Derbyshire.

Salary: £24K - £29K per annum OTE (includes sleep-ins).

Job Type: Permanent, full-time.

We are recruiting on behalf of a family run business with wonderful values and aspirations. With their own experience of raising a child through ill health, hospitalisation, and seeing lots of other poorly, underprivileged children, this family set out on a journey to change the lives of young people.

As Residential Support Worker, you will be part of a brand-new home. You will play a key part in ensuring the emotional, physical, and social care and development of the young residents. You will help create a safe environment, encourage learning, maintain case records, and accompany the children on fun, outdoor activities.  

Criteria

• QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare or NVQ Level 3 Children & Young People (or Equivalent) – preferred.
• Experience working with children & young people in a residential setting – essential.
• Experience working with children with Learning Disabilities & challenging behaviours – essential.
• Full Driving Licence – essential.
