Senior Residential Support Worker

Job description

We are recruiting for a Senior Residential Support Worker close to the Derby area of Derbyshire to join a newly opened Children’s home in the area.

This job vacancy is a 15-minute commute from the centre of Derby via the A601 and Burton Road. The role may also suit candidates in Burton-upon-Trent as it is a 15-minute commute via the A38, or Swadlincote which is 27-minutes away.

Key Information

• £24,680 - £25,880 per annum DOE.
• Full-time, 40-hours per week including sleeps.
• 3 – 5 sleeps a month on a rolling rota, £50 per sleep.
• Shift pattern – 1-day in and 2-days off. 7am – 11pm. Sleep shifts finish at 8am.
• Experience working with children aged 6 and above in residential setting – essential.
• Experience working with children with Learning Disabilities, Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), Mental Health conditions – essential.
• Car Drivers preferred but not essential.
• You must be over the age of 21.

The home is beautiful and fully furnished and contains all the modern facilities a child could want and need.

Your Role

As their Senior Residential Support Worker, you will be part of a new, small 4-bedded home supporting children aged 11-17 with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). You will help create a safe and loving environment for the children to flourish. You will play a key role in ensuring the children’s welfare and helping the children to achieve positive outcomes. You will be a positive role model to both your team and the children, cascading the provider’s values in all that you do.
