Full and part-time, Residential Support Worker, permanent job vacancy, close to Wimborne, Dorset. There is no personal care involved in this job role. 

This job vacancy is based approximately a 20-minute commute from Wimborne via the B3078.

  • £9.65 - £10.40 per hour DOE.
  • Full-time hours, 42-hours per week, 3-4 shifts per week.
  • 12-hour shifts, 8am – 8pm.
  • Part-time hours also available.

The Provider & Your Role

We are recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s biggest providers of residential care, education and support for young adults and children living with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Learning Disabilities. They have an impressive network of schools, colleges, and residential homes where all their talented teamwork with specialists to enable every young person to develop their abilities and create a positive future.

As a Residential Support Worker, you will be supporting young adults in their residential home which is set in a beautiful location. There are acres of gardens for the residents to enjoy and the on-site accommodation is homely and warm. Every member of the team has a common goal to empower the young people through learning, helping them to achieve goals and exceed expectations. As a Support Worker, you will build a trusted relationship with the adults you support and ensure their welfare. You will be key in developing their daily life skills and independence with things such as budgeting, cooking, shopping, and accessing the local community to continue doing activities they enjoy which can vary from swimming, going to the cinema, or trips to the beach. This is an amazing place to work, not only for the work that they do, but for the location in which you do it too.

About You

  • No professional experience is required as excellent training is provided.
  • Being enthusiastic, proactive, and having a passion for working within the sector – essential.
  • Full driving licence and access to a car – essential.
  • You must be over the age of 21.
