Job description

We are recruiting for a Clinical Psychiatrist to join a specialist education college and residential service supporting young people with complex needs associated with high-functioning Autism, Anxiety, and Mental Health conditions.

Location: Bournemouth, Dorset.

This job is a 30-minute commute from Bournemouth.

Salary: £60K per annum.

Job Type: Permanent, part-time, 16-hours per week.

We are recruiting on behalf of a large provider of children’s specialist education, care, and support. They have an impressive network of schools, colleges, and residential homes, and this college is set in a beautiful location.

As their Clinical Psychiatrist, you will use psychiatric models and practices to enhance the learning, cognitive and emotional skills of young people to prepare them for adult life and independent living. You will advise on complex mental health and behavioural matters and provide direct clinical support for other staff


  • CCT or CESR in a relevant area of psychiatry (Learning Disability, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, General Adult Psychiatry).
  • To have and maintain GMC registration and a license to practise for the entire period of employment.
  • Working with young people with special education needs, Autism & associated difficulties & a high level of support requirements.
  • Experience working with 11–25-year-olds & working in a school, college or care setting is desirable.
