We are recruiting for a Head of School to join a specialist school for children and young people living with Specialist Educational Needs (SEN) and Autism aged 11-16.  

Location: Bournemouth, Dorset.

This job is located 25-minutes from Bournemouth.

Salary: £47,723 - £52,723 per annum DOE.

Job Type: Permanent, full-time hours, term-time only.  

We are recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s biggest providers of education, care and support for children and young people with SEN, Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Social Emotional Mental Health conditions (SEMH). This school believes in changing lives for the better through education.

As their Head of School/Head Teacher, you will work in collaboration with the Principal and Vice Principal and will be key in delivering high-quality teaching to the young people within a safe environment helping to equip them for the next stage of their lives. You will initially provide teaching, but you will lead the operational running of the school.

Criteria

  • A qualified Teacher with experience across the 11 – 16 age range.
  • An experienced curriculum & team leader.
  • A leader of teaching & learning with previous educational management experience at either Assistant or Deputy Head level.
  • To be able to teach Entry level 1,2 & 3, & GCSE in specific subject.
  • Driving Licence – preferred.
