Job Description

Part-time, Adult Support Worker, permanent job vacancy, Bexhill, East Sussex.

  • £12.00 per hour.
  • Part-time hours available.
  • Shifts would be Tuesday (1700 – 2100), and varied hours Thursday & Sundays.
  • Experience working with Neurological conditions, Brain Injuries, or Disabilities is desired.
  • Car drivers essential.

Your Role

As an Adult Support Worker, you will be supporting a 34-year-old male living with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and physical disabilities in his family home. Your support will be crucial in helping this gentleman in his rehabilitation and helping him achieve his goals and develop his hobbies. You will be welcomed into their family home and become part of his family, and you really will be key in transforming a person’s life. The role can include:

  • Assisting the client with aspects of his daily life, including activities that he enjoys.
  • Supporting with personal care.
  • Manual Handling.
  • Implementing therapy plans.
  • Liaising with the Case Manager & the client’s family.

    Part-time, job vacancy for a Support Worker in the Burnley area of Lancashire to support a 26-year-old man living with a brain injury and complex needs.

    • £9.50 per hour (reviewed after successful probation).
    • £14.25 per hour on bank holidays.
    • £8.91 per hour for sleeping nights.
    • 25-hours per week, worked over 7 days, including days, evenings, sleep-ins & weekends.
    • Rolling rota - rota given 8-weeks in advance.
    • 5.6 weeks paid holiday per year.

    Your client

    The gentleman is a fun-loving man who lives in his own purpose built home. He is very sociable and enthusiastic, enjoys having good people around him and seeing his family. He has a lot of social and leisure activities that he enjoys too. He is passionate about music, seeing new places on holiday, being outdoors, and he is a keen film fan, enjoying films both at the cinema and in his own cinema room at home. He’s also a bit of a daredevil and enjoys outdoor pursuit activities such as zipwire, skiing and climbing walls.

    Your Role

    As his Support Worker you will be joining a team supporting this gentleman to live the best quality life possible and continue to do the things he loves. You will be key in helping him in completing his rehabilitation plan and continue doing activities at home and in the community. You will also be key in assisting with Therapy programmes created by professionals who also work with the client. You will support the client on holidays both in the UK and abroad and helping him with daily life skills.
