We are recruiting for a Children’s Support Worker to be a part of largest care providers within the UK, specialising in healthcare, education, and residential services for children.

Location: Braintree, Essex.

Salary: £10.08 - £10.70 per hour + £500 welcome bonus.

Job Type: Permanent, full-time & part-time hours (shifts can be discussed).  

We are recruiting on behalf of a children’s provider who specialise in care and support for Children with Learning Disabilities, Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), and Mental Health. They have gained excellent reputation over the years and have won several awards and gained outstanding ratings to show for it.

As a Support Worker, you will be part of a small residential children’s home which is mixed gender for children aged 8 - 18. There will be no personal care involved in the job and your role will be key in creating a safe, nurturing environment to help them achieve a positive future. No experience is required as full training and support will be provided. However, you do need to hold a valid driving licence and be over the age of 21.

  • Be responsible for staff recruitment, retention, and their development.
  • Referrals, admissions, and care practices.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance & to achieve the highest possible Ofsted rating.
  • Ensure that home is ran in a child focussed way, at all times.

Waking Night Support Worker

We are recruiting for a Waking Night Support Worker to join a residential family centre supporting young children and their families.

Location: Blackburn, Lancashire.

Salary: £11.30 per hour (£27,029.60 per annum) + benefits.                       

Job Type: Full-time, permanent. 46-hours per week on rolling rota, 8pm – 8am.

We are recruiting on behalf of a residential family centre providing a safe environment for parents and their children who need additional support. They follow the Every Child Matters ambitions for each child and focus on providing positive outcomes for children and their families.

The service provides accommodation for up to 5 families with children aged under 8. They require assessments to ensure they have the right support and help until they are discharged from the service.   • 2 years’ experience working with families or younger people.
  • NVQ Level 3 or above in Children & Young People or Social Worker qualification.
  • Experience within residential homes, family services, refuges, drug abuse or substance services would be beneficial.

Essential Criteria

  • Reported success as a Children’s Residential Home Manager
  • Experience supporting children and young people with EBD.
  • Great understanding of Children’s Home Regulations & Framework
  • Minimum Level 3 Health & Social Care Children & Young People (willing to work towards Level 5 if not yet achieved)
  • Willing to be part of an on-call rota
