Permanent job vacancy, Director of Care/Operations Director, Glasgow, Scotland. Can be located anywhere in UK but must be willing to travel to various locations across the UK.

  • £85K - £120K per annum DOE.
  • Bonus scheme.
  • Full-time hours, home based but includes travel.
  • £200 million turnover.
  • 126 branches across different locations in the UK.

A unique opportunity

This is an incredible opportunity, we are recruiting on behalf of a fantastic, national homecare/domiciliary care provider. The company was only founded a few years ago but has seen great success in that time and has grown considerably. The turnover is now at around £200 million. Inspired by his own personal experience of finding high-quality care for his Mum, the CEO wanted to shake up the healthcare sector. With plans to acquire further businesses they are hoping to grow further and go from strength to strength.

As their Director of Care, you will report to the Operation Directors and the CEO, overseeing their large portfolio of domiciliary/homecare services. The ideal candidate will have considerable experience in a leadership role within the homecare sector, managing services and driving not only growth, but also quality, whilst ensuring profitability.

  • You will be responsible for 7 Regional Directors.
  • You will be responsible for overseeing quality and ensuring compliance.
  • Drive ongoing growth through networking with relevant bodies & Local Authorities.
  • Identify any areas for growth and work closely with the board of directors/CEO.
  • To support with the development and implement the company’s strategy, policies, and procedures.
  • Meeting and exceeding organisational targets and budgets.

Your Experience

We are looking for a true leader, an expert with a proven track record and success in the social care sector at a senior level. You will:

  • Already be at Board Level/Managing Director or Operations Director level.
  • Have experience managing service with 20 plus sites.
  • Ideally hold Level 5 in Management in Health & Social Care.
  • Have extensive knowledge of the Health & Social Care Act 2008 & evidence of a strong track record with regulatory compliance.
  • Have a strong network and commercial experience.
  • Be a visionary for the business and cascade best practice & standards from the top.
  • Be someone who can develop teams, mentor, and support.
