Full-Time, Permanent, Team Leader, Job Vacancy, Wembley, Northwest London - car drivers preferred, however not essential.

 

Key Information

  • £14.00 - £16.00 per hour, DOE.
  • Full-time 30 hours per week.
  • Regular shift pattern to include, evenings, weekends, and nights.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care essential or relevant qualification.
  • Previous experience & knowledge of brain injuries essential.

Your Role

As our Team Leader, you will need to have strong leadership skills to oversee a care team, supporting a young child with an acquired brain injury (ABI). As a Team Leader you will manage the support team who provide 24-hour support. The child lives in his family home near Harrow and needs support to improve the quality of his life whilst being supported to maximise his own choices. You will ensure the client is supported to engage in community activities as appropriate.

 

  • You will be managing the care packages and liaising with other care professionals.
  • You will be involved in recruitment and the induction process.
  • Liaising with a range of care professionals and case managers.
  • Managing all administration duties to support the care team.
  • Assistant with the child’s care, where necessary.
  • Provide ongoing support and supervision to the team.

    Your Role

    • Remind them to take medication.

  • Registered Children's Home Manager
    £40K - £45K per annum DOE plus bonus

    We are recruiting for a Registered Children’s Home Manager close to the Mitcham area of Greater London.

    The role is commutable from the Kingston-upon-Thames (15mins), Wimbledon (22mins), West Barnes (15mins), New Malden (20mins), Surbiton (8mins) and surrounding areas. The role is also close to transport links including an underground station and local amenities.

    Who will you be joining and what will the role involve?

    You would be part of an established service, this is an Ofsted “Good” and Autism accredited, small residential service for children aged 8 – 18 with learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviours. The children are placed at the heart of every decision they make. They have a fantastic reputation, with a vision to deliver high quality, person centred care, achieving positive outcomes and achievement for the children and young adults they support.

    As their Registered Children’s Home Manager, who can inspire and motivate the team as well as maintain the extremely high standards. You will be supported by an excellent team who will help you build on the existing foundations already in place. You will play an instrumental part in the future of the children and developing the staff team.

    Salary & Hours

    • £40K - £45K per annum + performance bonus
    • Full-time, Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm with additional hours to meet the needs of the home

    Essential criteria

    • You will hold Level 5 in Leadership & Management, or equivalent.
    • Level 3 in Children & Young People/Residential Childcare.
    • You will have previous Management experience overseeing a Children’s residential setting and a large staff team.
    • You will have thorough knowledge & understanding of OFSTED requirements and legislation.
    • You will ideally be a car driver.
