We are looking for a Registered Children’s Home Manager in the London area of the Greater London.
This job vacancy is actually based close to Preston, Lancashire. However, there’s an £8K relocation package for this role, so if you’re a Registered Children’s Home Manager based elsewhere in London and willing to relocate to a beautiful part of the UK, then we would love to speak to you.
This is a really exciting opportunity for the right candidate because the role will see you aiding the Deputy Manager to take over registration after 18-months while you take up an Operations & Responsible Individual role overseeing several homes. So, if this excites you and you want to join a provider who you can grow with and there’s clear progression, this could be it.
Opened in 2019 this home has been substantially renovated, it includes a gym, outbuildings geared up for arts/crafts and education workshops. They also have a separate supported living unit, which is wonderful for an Older Child as they progress into Adulthood. Working for a small provider means that they put the children and the forefront of everything they do. It also means that as a Registered Children’s Home Manager you are fully supported by a robust team. This includes a Chief Executive, HR Department, 2 Deputy Managers, Clinical Psychologist, In-house Therapists on the team as well as a highly experienced Responsible Individual and a fantastic team of Residential Support Workers.
As the Registered Children’s Home Manager, you would initially oversee a 5 bedded home for children aged 11-18. The children are all living with Emotional/Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). You are in a completely autonomous role but surrounded by a team who are all ready to support each other. You are in complete control of your budget, which means you can plan activities for the kids. You will be managing the referral process with the support of your colleagues, as well helping the children deal with their past trauma and their behaviours and improving their lives to prepare for adulthood. They want to put the Children first and watch them with pride as they grow into young adults.
