Job Description

Full time & Part time, Care Assistant & Dementia Friend, Wigan, Greater Manchester – previous experience not essential – drivers & non-drivers welcome to apply.

A day in the life of a Care Assistant & Dementia Friend:

“I love my job, not everyone can say that. No one day is the same. All the clients and their families are so kind and appreciative of the littlest of things I do for them. I arrive at the early morning call to be greeted with smiles, I will them assist my client out of bed and walk with them into the bathroom. I help support them with a morning wash and brushing their teeth. We then pick out the clothes for the day, the whole time chatting about their extraordinary life. We then make our way to the living room, and I will make some breakfast for them while they get comfy for the day, I help with medication reminding them of the day and the time, so they are taking the right tablets. I then move onto my next call. No call is rushed my employer makes sure each client has the right amount of time for the support they need. If not, I am not worried about calling the office and expressing my concerns this is always dealt with as quick as it can be. I always leave work at the end of day feeling like I have made a difference, I have helped someone today and that is a great feeling”
