Children's Residential Team Leader

We are looking to recruit a Full Time, Children’s Residential Team Leader Wigan, Greater Manchester.

You could be joining a dedicated team of people who actually care. This is a larger home within easy reach of entertainment and educational facilities in the centre of Wigan.

Essential Criteria

• Level 3 Diploma Health & Social Care Children & Young People/Adults or equivalent
• It is essential you have at least 2 years’ experience with children with EBD
• Driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Over the age of 21.

The Home

You will be joining a stable staff team in a 5-bed home for children and young people, the home has a ‘’Good’’ proven track record.  This mixed gender Residential Children’s Home is for children and young people of either gender, aged between 8 and 18 years who may have Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). As a Residential Team Leader, you will assist the Home Manager to ensure the smooth running of the home, leading shifts and assigning specific tasks to support workers and monitoring their performance.

This is a home for children and young people who have Learning Disabilities and some Mental Health needs, but it is also registered with Ofsted for emotional behavioural difficulties (EBD). There are endless opportunities in this job too.

Hours, Rates & Benefits

• £24,853 - £25,399 per annum DOE, (£31K including sleeps)
• £78 per sleep in (Average of 6 Sleeps per month)
• 42 Hours per week, on a rota system, including days, nights, evenings, and weekends.
