Registered Children's Home Manager

£40K - £50K per annum DOE
 

Job Description

Are you an experienced Registered Children’s Home Manager or an experienced Deputy Children’s Home Manager looking to join a dedicated team of people who actually care.  This 5 bedded home is in a small town based on the outskirts of Bury. The home is easily commutable from Bury, Blackburn, Burnley and Rochdale, all within a 20 mile radius.

  • £40K -  £50K per annum plus bonus.
  • Car Driver Essential
  • Level 5 in Leadership & Management.
  • Previous Experience of working with Children in a Residential Care Setting.  

The Provider

This is an established provider, that cares about children and young people’s care and education. They are looking for an experienced manager that can lead a team, will listen to people ideas, but also has a hands-on approach to supporting and guiding these children and young people to achieve those all-important positive outcomes.

The Residential Home

The home is currently being registered with OFSTED and will be home to children and young people who have Emotional Behavioural Difficulties.

Your Role

As a Registered Children’s Home Manager, they offer a salary of up to £45,000 Per Annum plus bonuses based on Ofsted, Occupancy and Budgets. Your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Registering with OFSTED from the get-go and setting a good working ethic for all your team. Ensuring you and your team are working towards “Outstanding”.
  • You will oversee a healthy workable budget for the home.
  • You will be actively involved in new referrals, working alongside the internal referrals team.
  • Overseeing the day to day running of the home and ensuring everything is running swimmingly.
  • This provider is also introducing a new Therapeutic model, and you will be part of this introduction and will be invested in this.

As a Children’s Home Manager, you know this role can be arduous but also fulfilling and you do need to be a dedicated individual and a team player to ensure these children and young people are well looked after and feel safe within the home.

    Qualifications & experience for the Children’s Support Worker

    • Level 3 in Residential Childcare or Children & Young People Workforce – preferred.
    • It is essential you have at least 2 years’ experience working in Children’s Residential care.

    The Home & Your Role

    Essential Criteria

    • Reported success as a Children’s Residential Home Manager
    • Experience supporting children and young people with EBD.
    • Great understanding of Children’s Home Regulations & Framework
    • Minimum Level 3 Health & Social Care Children & Young People (willing to work towards Level 5 if not yet achieved)
    • Willing to be part of an on-call rota
