We are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to support a young female with Specialist Educational Needs (SEN) and Disabilities.

Location: Stockport, Greater Manchester.

Salary: £21K - £24K per annum (pro rata).

Job Type: Permanent, full-time, term-time only.

We are recruiting on behalf of a young 16-year-old girl living with Cerebral Palsy and complex needs. She is reliant on technology and adult support to complete tasks. The young girl is a motivated learner, eager to learn, and loves attending school. So, having a positive, enthusiastic personality is key in supporting this young lady.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support her in a specialist school setting with her education needs whilst she attends year 11 and then into further education. You will work alongside specialist teachers and therapists and there will be elements of personal care involved.


  • NVQ Level 3 in Teaching Assistance or equivalent – preferred.
  • Experience of working with children & young people with SEND – essential.
  • A willingness to complete specialist training & work within a multi-disciplinary team is - essential.

The Home & Your Role

You will be Registered Manager of a home to 2 children / young people aged 7-17 years with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).  This home has a great team established who are waiting for you to join them!  Your team will consist of a Deputy Manager, Team Leaders & Residential Support Workers who are all working towards a common goal of keeping the young people safe and helping them thrive.  As the Residential Children’s Home Manager, you will bring your passion, positivity and forward-thinking approach to help continue this home’s success.  You will manage budgeting, develop your staff team, contribute to inspection framework and multi-disciplinary working.

Essential Criteria

  • Reported success as a Children’s Residential Home Manager
  • Experience supporting children and young people with EBD.
  • Great understanding of Children’s Home Regulations & Framework
  • Minimum Level 3 Health & Social Care Children & Young People (willing to work towards Level 5 if not yet achieved)
  • Willing to be part of an on-call rota

Children's Residential Team Leader

We are looking for a Children’s Residential Team Leader to join a small children’s residential home for children with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Location: Salford, Greater Manchester.

Salary: £11.00 - £12.50 per hour DOE + £40 per sleep.

Job Type: Full-time, 4-week rota including 4-6 sleeps per month.

We are recruiting on behalf of a 3-bedded home for children aged 7-12. The service works closely with in-house Clinical Psychologists and uses therapeutic parenting programmes to enable every young person to develop their abilities and create a positive future. The home, children and team are all very settled and there is very little staff turnover, testament to how valued their team are and the rewarding nature of the job.

As Team Leader, you will play a key role in supervising and mentoring a team of Support Workers, but more importantly, you will make a positive difference in a child’s life, helping to create a safe and nurturing environment where they can grow up and move towards the future they deserve.


  • Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification).
  • Experience as Support Worker or Senior in a Children’s residential setting.
  • Experience of working with children with EBD/Learning Disabilities/Mental Health conditions.
  • Driving Licence – essential.
