Job description

We are recruiting for a talented, up-and-coming star to become a Care Manager close to the Southampton area of Hampshire. The successful candidate will then work towards taking up registration and becoming Registered Care/Branch Manager.

The job is approximately a 30-minute commute from Southampton via the Marchwood By-Pass/A326.

• Initial salary £26K - £31K per annum DOE.
• Salary will increase to £35K and above once targets achieved & registration complete.
• Full-time hours.
• Currently delivering 600 care hours per week.
• Team made up of Director, Care coordinator, Admin & fully staffed with 28 carers.

You would be joining a company that was formed not for profit but to provide a very personalised, high quality homecare service to older people in the local area. Rather than deliver high volumes of care packages they prefer to grow slowly and keep quality as their focus. You will be fully supported to grow into your new role.

This job vacancy could be ideal for an experienced Care Coordinator, Supervisor, or Deputy, who is ready to take the next step in their career and become Care Manager, but then grow into the Registered Manager role with dedicated support, guidance, and helping you achieve your Level 5 qualification.

Your Role

We are looking for someone who has all the makings of a future Manager, someone who has worked in the community and understands what good quality homecare looks like. In turn the company will mould you and give you all the support you need to progress to become their Registered Manager. If you are ready for an exciting challenge this could be your time! The next six months are all about focusing on Quality and working towards achieving Good in all areas with CQC. Much of your role will be quality focussed, helping the service to grow towards 1000 care hours, and ensuring the staff team are well led, supervised, and supported.

Criteria

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care or equivalent.
• Experience in the domiciliary/homecare sector as a Senior/Supervisor/Coordinator/Deputy.
• Good CQC knowledge & ability to grow a branch.
• Car Driver – essential.
