Full and part-time, Young Adult Support Worker, permanent job vacancy, close to Stevenage, Hertfordshire. No experienced needed as excellent training provided.

This job is approximately a 25-minute commute from Stevenage via the A505. The role may also be suitable for candidates living close to Royston and Cambridge.

Key Information

  • £20K - £22.5K per annum DOE (£9.65 - £10.70 per hour) + £1000 welcome bonus.
  • Full-time, 40-hours per week.
  • Part-time hours also available.
  • 4-week shift rota pattern including alternate weekends.

The Role

As a Young Adult Support Worker, your role will be key in helping the young people you support with their daily life skills and help promote independence. You will be involved in their individual therapies, but also helping them to continue to do the things they enjoy including shopping, trips to the cinema, arts and crafts, music, or even going to the pub. There may be elements of personal care involved when required, but don’t let that put you off, it isn’t always what you think it is and we will happily talk you through it.

About You

  • No professional experience is required as excellent training is provided.
  • Ability to build relationships & excellent communication skills – essential
  • Being enthusiastic, proactive, and having a passion for working within the sector – essential.
