We are looking for a dedicated Deputy Service Manager close to the Watford area of Hertfordshire. This is a permanent job vacancy.

This role would be ideal for a Team Leader/Senior Support Worker looking to progress and ready for the next step in their career to become a Deputy Service Manager.

This job based a short 15-minute commute from the centre of Watford via the A412/Rickmansworth Road. The position may also suit candidates living in nearby locations of Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Greater London including, Croxley Green, Amersham, & Northwood. The job is also a short 10-minute walk from the local train station and the nearest bus stop is only 2-minutes away.

  • £12.30 per hour (£23,985 per annum).
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.

As their Deputy Service Manager, you will be an integral part of a residential care home for up to 13 service users living with Learning Disabilities, Mental Health conditions, Autism, and Epilepsy. Rated Good by CQC, they have an established, friendly staff team. Everyone at the service is very welcoming, there is a fantastic vibe, and there are lots of fun activities for the service users/residents to enjoy. All the residents are very active and enjoy a variety of activities out in the local community including going to the cinema, going out for food, or attending football matches. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Help ensure the delivery of high- quality care to the service users.
  • Ensuring the staff team are equipped with necessary skills, training, and supervision.
  • Review care plans to ensure they are up to date with individual needs.
  • Ensure the implementation of quality measurements and monitoring,
  • Deputising for the Manager in their absence.

Criteria

  • You will have a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • You will have experience of working in a Senior/Team Leader/Deputy position for at least 1-year.
  • Experience of working with people living with learning disabilities, mental health conditions and challenging behaviours is essential.
  • It is preferred that you have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
