Job description

Full-time, Team Leader (Young Adults), permanent job vacancy, close to Royston, Hertfordshire.

This job is approximately a 10-minute/5-mile commute from Royston via the A10. The role may also be suitable for candidates living close to Stevenage and Cambridge.

  • £25,500 - £27,500 per annum DOE (£12.30 - £13.25 per hour).
  • Full-time, 40-hours per week.
  • 30 days holiday per year, increasing yearly up to 33 days.

The Provider

We are recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s biggest providers of residential care, supported living accommodation, education and support for young adults and children living with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Learning Disabilities. They have an impressive network of schools, colleges, and residential homes where they use their specialist facilities to focus on promoting independence amongst the young adults they support, developing life skills to help them achieve a bright future of their own choosing.

Your Role

As their Team Leader, you would be joining a Supportive Living and learning environment for young adults living with Learning Disabilities and complex health needs. The service is set in beautiful grounds and is rated Outstanding by CQC. You would play a key role in supporting the Managers and providing coaching and motivation to the dedicated team of Support Workers. You will help induct new team members, carry out supervisions, all whilst ensuring the welfare and safety of the young people you support.


  • Level 3 Health & Social Care - essential.
  • Experience within a Senior/Supervisory/Team Leader role – essential.
  • Experience working with children/young adults with Learning Disabilities, Complex needs, or SEN – essential.
  • Strong leadership and ability to motivate as well as passion for sector – essential.
