Location

This vacancy is situated close to the M25, M11 and A10 and commutable from Hertford, Harlow, Bishop’s Stortford, and surrounding areas. It is also commutable via train links from Liverpool Street, London, to nearby stations. There is also on-site car parking.

Key Information

  • £43K - £50K per annum DOE.

We are recruiting on behalf of a unique organisation who support over 150 adults and young people living with Epilepsy, Neurological conditions, and other complex needs from the age of 5 through to 80 in their Children’s Home, School, College, Residential Homes with nursing and Day Centre, making it an inspirational place to do great work. They have a rich history of over 100-years’ supporting vulnerable people live life to the full through residential care and specialist education services. As their Registered Children’s Home Manager, you will be at the heart of this new residential service and you will be able to put your own mark on the service. The home is 8-bedded and set within beautiful, idyllic parkland.

Essential Criteria

  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management, or equivalent.
  • Experience of working with children/young adults in a residential setting or with complex needs.  
  • Being a car driver is essential.
  • Strong leadership skills, being able to motivate a staff team and lead by example.

Childrens Residential Team Leader

We are looking for a Children’s Residential Team Leader to join a small children’s residential home for children with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Location: Salford, Greater Manchester.

Salary: £11.00 - £12.50 per hour DOE + £40 per sleep.

Job Type: Full-time, 4-week rota including 4-6 sleeps per month.

We are recruiting on behalf of a 3-bedded home for children aged 7-12. The service works closely with in-house Clinical Psychologists and uses therapeutic parenting programmes to enable every young person to develop their abilities and create a positive future. The home, children and team are all very settled and there is very little staff turnover, testament to how valued their team are and the rewarding nature of the job.

As Team Leader, you will play a key role in supervising and mentoring a team of Support Workers, but more importantly, you will make a positive difference in a child’s life, helping to create a safe and nurturing environment where they can grow up and move towards the future they deserve.

Criteria

  • Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification).
  • Experience as Support Worker or Senior in a Children’s residential setting.
  • Experience of working with children with EBD/Learning Disabilities/Mental Health conditions.
  • Driving Licence – essential.
