Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Team Leader (Learning Disabilities) looking to progress and become a Deputy Service Manager close to the Ashford area of Kent. This is a permanent job vacancy.
This job is a 13-minute commute from Ashford via the A20. The role may also be suitable for candidates living to Maidstone, Headcorn, and surrounding areas of Kent. The role is also easily commutable by local transport links.
- £11.13 per hour (£21,703 per annum).
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.

As their Deputy Service Manager, you will be an integral part of a residential care home for up to 8 service users living with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and challenging behaviour. Rated Good by CQC, they have an established, friendly staff team. Everyone at the service is very welcoming, there is a fantastic vibe, and there are lots of fun activities for the service users/residents to enjoy. The home is set in a beautiful, rural location and even has its own lake. Your responsibilities may include:
- Help ensure the delivery of high- quality care to the service users.
- Ensuring the staff team are equipped with necessary skills, training, and supervision.
- Review care plans to ensure they are up to date with individual needs.
- Ensure the implementation of quality measurements and monitoring,
- Deputising for the Manager in their absence.
Criteria
-
You will have a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- You will have experience of working in a Senior/Team Leader/Deputy position for at least 1-year.
- Experience of working with people living with learning disabilities, mental health conditions and challenging behaviours is essential.
- It is preferred that you have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
