Job description

We are looking for enthusiastic Children’s Residential Support Workers living close to the Burnley area of Lancashire. You could be joining a special organisation who provide residential care for young people living with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

The role may also suit candidates from the Colne, Nelson, Clitheroe areas of Lancashire, and it may also suit candidates from the Skipton and Keighley areas of North and West Yorkshire.

Your Role

As their Residential Support Worker, you will be part of a mixed 5-bedded children’s home aged between 8-18. you will play a pivotal role in supporting the children. You will be helping them with daily living tasks and encouraging them to learn so they can have the most positive future possible. You will help them become independent young adults and continue to do all the fun things they love the most, from going to the cinema or an escape room, trampolining, playing football, and just enjoying life like all children should.

Key Information

  • £20K per annum with no previous experience.
  • £23K per annum with Level 3 in Children & Young People.
  • £78.00 per sleep-in, approximately 6 per month
  • Full-time hours, 42-hours per week
  • Mix of shifts & sleep ins, every other weekend off.
  • Training and support towards further qualifications.
  • Level 3 in Residential Childcare or Children & Young People Workforce ideal.
  • You will ideally have worked within a similar setting, in education or a care job.
  • You will be flexible to work on a variety of shifts including weekends on a rota basis.
  • It is essential that you have a driving licence and access to a vehicle.
