Job description

We are looking to recruit a Full Time, Children’s Residential Team Leader living close to the Lancaster area of Lancashire.  

You could be joining a dedicated team of people who actually care. This small home is in a quaint little village near the old market town of Kirby Lonsdale, but also a stone’s throw away from the blowy Yorkshire Dales. The home is easily commutable from Lancashire, North Yorkshire and the South Lakes, Cumbria. Within 25 miles from Lancaster, Heysham, Kendal & Skipton.

Essential Criteria

  • Level 3 Diploma Health & Social Care Children & Young People/Adults or equivalent
  • It is essential you have at least 2 years’ experience with children with EBD
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Over the age of 21.

The Home

With a 4.1 out of 5 Review on a leading employer review site, with lots of people commenting on what a supportive team they all are, this is lovely to read. The home has a “Good” proven track record and is a settled and stable home to 2 boys aged between 12-17 years old. Back in the day it was an Old Guest House, so there is plenty of spacious communal areas and a garden full of all creatures great and small.

This is a home for children and young people who have Learning Disabilities and some Mental Health needs, but it is also registered with Ofsted for emotional behavioural difficulties (EBD). There are endless opportunities in this job too, each of their managers started as Support Workers themselves and have progressed to Senior roles through the company, so with hard work and dedication you could follow in their footsteps.

Hours, Rates & Benefits

  • **£23’300 per annum, plus pension, plus paid DBS (£29K including sleeps)
  • £78.30 per sleep in (Average of 6 Sleeps per month)
  • 42 Hours per week, on a rota system, including days, nights, evenings, and weekends.
