Job description

We have a full time, permanent job vacancy for a Children’s Residential Team Leader role within a Children’s Home based near the Preston area of Lancashire.

You could be joining a dedicated team of people who actually care. The home is based in a small, quiet village located about a 30-minute car journey away from Preston via the M6. It is also commutable from Garstang, Lancaster, Clitheroe and surrounding areas Lancashire.

Essential Criteria

  • Level 3 Diploma Health & Social Care Children & Young People/Adults or equivalent
  • It is essential you have at least 2 years’ experience with children with EBD
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Over the age of 21.

The Home & Your Role

You will be joining a well-established stable staff team in a 5-bed home for children and young people, which currently boasts a “Good” OFSTED rating.  This mixed gender Residential Children’s Home is for children and young people of either gender, aged between 8 and 18 years who require short or long term care away from the family home and may have Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). As a Residential Team Leader, you will assist the Home Manager to ensure the smooth running of the home, leading shifts and assigning specific tasks to support workers and monitoring their performance. 

There are endless opportunities in this job too, each of their managers started as Support Workers themselves and have progressed to Senior roles through the company, so with hard work and dedication you could follow in their footsteps.

Hours, Rates & Benefits

  • **£23’300 per annum, plus pension, plus paid DBS (£29K including sleeps)
  • £78.30 per sleep in (Average of 6 Sleeps per month)
  • 42 Hours per week, on a rota system, including days, nights, evenings, and weekends.
