Permanent, full-time job vacancy, Children’s Residential Support Worker, close to Clitheroe, Lancashire. No experience is needed, but it is essential that you are a car driver and are over the age of 21.

If you have personal experience of supporting children with disabilities or if you have worked in SEN schools, nurseries or even worked with adults with Learning Disabilities, whatever your experience, if you have the right personality, we would love to speak to you!

This job is commutable from Blackburn, Great Harwood, Accrington, and surrounding areas of Lancashire.

This provider has a wealth of experience and over 25 years in the Children’s Care Sector, they are truly in the right profession for the right reasons. The Director began her career as a childcare officer, working her way up to a Registered Manager and now Director of 8 Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) homes. It is crucial to them that they always deliver positive outcomes for each home and the children they care for. This provider shows nothing but whole heart to each child within their care, recently being nominated for the UK’s Beacon Award. As a top finalist, they are excited and proud to be offering this wonderful opportunity.

The Home & Your Role

As their Children’s Residential Support Worker, you would be working in a 3-bedded children’s home for children living with EBD and Child Sexual Exploitation, helping them to achieve positive outcomes. Your role is important in ensuring that the young person has support, has the same opportunities as other children, and provide positive experiences and a creative curriculum, so that they can be the best they can be and achieve all their goals. You would help the young person to continue doing the hobbies they love whether that be horse riding, skiing, or swimming.

  • £9.50 per hour + £70.47 per sleep-in.
  • 173-hours per month on a rolling rota basis.
  • Shift pattern – 2 on, 4 off (for e.g., start Monday at 8am, finish 8:30am Wednesday, then off until Sunday).
