Full-time, Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker, permanent job vacancy, Preston, Lancashire.

The job role is ideal for candidates living in Chorley (15-minute commute via M61/M62), Blackburn (20-minutes via M6), Lancaster (30-minutes via M6), and other locations close to Preston in Lancashire.

About the Provider

Opened in 2019 this home has been substantially renovated, it includes a gym, outbuildings geared up for arts/crafts and education workshops. They also have a separate supported living unit, which is wonderful for an older child as they progress into adulthood. Working for a small provider means that they put the children and the forefront of everything they do. It also means that as a Senior Residential Support Worker you will always be fully supported by a robust team. You are surrounded by a team who are all ready to support each other. They want to put the children first and watch them with pride as they grow into young adults.

Key Information

  • Up to £27,500 per annum + benefits.
  • 24-hour shifts, 10 shifts a month (rota to be discussed at interview).
  • This is a 5 Bedded Residential Children’s Home.
  • The Children are aged 11-18 Years of age.
  • The children all have Emotional/Behavioural Difficulties.
  • Helping the children deal with their past Trauma and their behaviours.
  • Improving the Children’s lives in preparation for adulthood.
  • The Team includes Registered Manager, 2 Deputy Managers & 13 Support Workers.

About You

  • Experience of working with Children in a Residential Care Home.
  • Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
  • Worked for at least one year in a Supervisor/Senior role.
  • Being a car driver is essential.
  • You must be over the age of 21.

Children's Team Leader

We are recruiting for a Children’s Team Leader to oversee a Children’s Crisis Intervention & Respite service. This is a peripatetic role and will involve travel to different locations.

Location: Preston, Lancashire.

Salary: Up to £40K per annum + paid travel time & mileage (use of company vehicle if required).

You will be pivotal in managing lead times from referral to placements and coordinating your staff team, and arranging residential accommodation, short-break, and support for vulnerable children.

Criteria

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People.
  • Experience of working with young people with EBD.
  • Minimum 2-years’ experience of working in residential setting at a Senior/Deputy/Supervisory/Management level.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching & mentoring skills.
  • Must be over the age of 25.
