£10.00 per hour + paid travel time + benefits

    Your Role

    The life of a Care Assistant is varied. Each person’s needs differ and are unique, and your role will be tailored to their needs. You will build strong relationships with the people you support. The role will include:

    • Providing much needed companionship.
    • Helping someone with their daily routine including getting up & going to bed.
    • Assisting with personal care.
    • Making sure a person is eating & drinking well.
    • Helping keep a person’s home clean & tidy.
    • Supporting people to keep doing the things they love, both at home & in the community.

    Every client we visit is unique, meaning you meet different people every day, all with various levels of independence. Your role will depend on who you’re personally matched with, but don’t worry, we can talk to you about their needs. You may have some questions around personal care, or possibly the wrong idea about what it includes, but we can put your mind at ease. Sometimes you may -

    • Make their breakfast together.
    • Assist with washing, brushing hair and dressing.
    • Prepare satisfying, nutritious meals.
    • Accompany them to appointments or to do activities they enjoy.
    • Help them up the stairs and into bed in the evening.  
    • Ensure they feel safe for the night when you leave.

    • Prompting to take medication.
    • Preparing lunch together, taking care of their nutrition is important.

    • End of the day companionship, hot drink, and chat before bedtime.
