Every person we support is different and the level of help they will require can change daily.

Some of the duties may include:

  • Arriving with a smile even at an early morning call
  • Giving encouragement and support to become independent and feel safe at home again
  • Support with getting out of bed and aspects of personal care (helping with a morning wash, oral care, and dressing)
  • Offering support with preparation of meals
  • Prompting to take medication
  • Going on outings, hospital appointments or visiting the shops
  • Offering companionship and been a friendly person for them to chat with

Key information

  • £11.00 per hour weekdays, £11.50 per hour weekends plus paid mileage
  • Paid block hours (paid for the whole shift not just each call)
  • Two week rolling shift pattern, days, evenings, and alternate weekends

    • Prepare breakfast and assist someone with their morning routine whilst chatting away!
    • Assisting with morning or evening routine.
    • Prompt to take medication.
    • Preparing lunch together, taking care of their nutrition needs is important.
    • Going on outings, hospital visits or visiting the shops.
    • End of the day companionship, hot drink, and chat before bedtime.
