Job Description

We are looking for Adult Support Workers in the in the Heslington/Fulford area of York, North Yorkshire.

The role is based a short commute from York City Centre and is 10-minute by car via Fulford Road. For applicants who use public transport, the number 24, 25 & 26 Transdev bus service runs every 30-minutes and takes around 20-minutes. There is also a train service from York to Broadway West station which takes 14-minutes and is then a short 4-minute walk to the service.

Support Worker – job description

As an Adult Support Worker, you would be working with a small group of adults who have a learning as well as physical disability within a Supported Living service. Part of the role would be encouraging taking part in the things they love and being active. You will also:

  • Provide active support and help with daily living skills.
  • Supporting with Cooking & Cleaning Skills.
  • Deal with some challenging behaviours.
  • Managing their finances.
  • Supporting with medication.
  • Attending appointments with him.
  • Personal care is minimal, more prompting support.

Pay rates, hours & benefits

  • £9.80 per hour
  • Full Time or Part-Time job vacancies available.
  • 20 days paid annual leave (plus 8 bank holidays, pro rata for part time).
